Get to Know Stephen Crispin

I am a barrister with more than 14 years' experience. I have been based at Harcourt Chambers since I completed my studies at Oxford University and the Inns of Court School of Law. I have always focused exclusively on family court work.

I have a busy practice in cases about the welfare of children. I often represent clients at contested hearings where the questioning of witnesses is a key part of achieving a successful outcome.

In family finance and divorce cases my expertise extends to complex matters including third party interests, company assets, or possible bankruptcy. I am known for working hard to achieve the best possible result for clients in negotiations, and in court through focused and determined advocacy.

I am often asked to give advice on property rights where an unmarried couple is separating. Many of these cases follow civil court procedure instead of the Family Procedure Rules.

When I am not working I love cycling and I often take part in track races at Herne Hill Velodrome.  I escape to the mountains whenever I can.
